FAQ
Here you will find answers to the most common questions. If there is still something about what you would like to ask, please do not hesitate to use our enquiry box.
1) How to book a trip?
Just fill the enquiry box which is located at the bottom of each page, write us an e-mail or simply call us on Skype. Before final booking some details need to be specified.
2) What is the PRICE for a trip?
Prices  attached to each road trip are just aproximate prices. The final price depends on many factors and your preferences, hence prices can vary by as much as several hundred dollars. If you're traveling, for example from Europe or Asia, the ticket’s cost will be much higher than for someone who is living in North America and needs only a domestic flight. The similar issue concerns the accommodation. If you prefer roadside motels from the renowned hotels, cost of the trip will be significantly lower. It all depends on your preferences mainly for accommodation, the season of the year and the length of your trip. The cost of the sample tour, assuming a start in Europe, may vary from $1500 up to $5,000 or even more. It is all up to you and your needs.
3) Can I modify the route of a road trip?
Yes! We can modify any route at any angle having all your requirements. Please inform us what you would like to add, change, cross out from the given road trip.
4) Can I take kids on a road trip?
Yes, there is no problem. But please remember that some parts of the trips could be tiring for very young children especially whole days spending in national park or whole day city tours. We assume that you as a parent know the best what you can do with your kids and how long spend time for continuous visiting cities/NP.
5) Is this kind of traveling is tiring?
Not really. Of course it is not the same as laying on the beach but not more exhausting than typical city tours. During your road trip you will meet many eldery people who do fine. You will have a good comfortable car and good accommodation to rest during all your stay in USA.
6) What airlines/accomodation/car rentals companies do you cooperate?
We cooperate with many reputable brands. If you have any special requirements regarding the airlines/accommodation/car rental company etc. please inform us before the planning process. We always try to find the best option.
7) Can I have a tour guide?
Yes that is possible. But this is very individual matter. For more details please contact us specifying your needs and requirements.
8) Will my driving license be valid in the USA?
To rent a vehicle you need a valid driving license issued in your country of residence. You may think about International Driving Permit (applied in your country of residence) if your driving license is not readable i.e. not in Latin alphabet.
9) What I need to know when driving in the US ?
First of all there is the imperial unit system i.e. all distances and speed limits are in miles not in kilometers. There is the RIGHT hand traffic like in most countries around the world. There are also slightly different driving rules in the USA. On roundabouts (traffic circles or rottary), drivers to the left have right of way. On crossroads, if there is no STOP sign or lights, the priority has the vehicle which was first at the crossroad then goes the second and so on. There is no right hand rule on the crossroad!
10) What to do if I am pulled over by Police?
If pulled over by Police, do not exit your vehicle. Turn the ignition off and sit patiently with your hands visible.
11) Do I need a visa to go to the USA?
It depends. Some countries are in Visa Waiver Program (VWP) which allows citizens of specific countries to travel to the United States for tourism, business, or while in transit for up to 90 days without having to obtain a visa. But you still need to apply for an ESTA. The list of the countries participating in VWP you will find here. If you require a visa the ESTA does not concern you.
12) What is the ESTA and how do I apply?
The ESTA is an automated system that assists in determining your eligibility to travel to the USA under the VWP. To apply for your ESTA approval, please visit the ESTA website.
13) How long can I stay in the USA?
If you are the citizen of VWP country you may stay up to 90 days. When you have a B2 Tourist Visa it is usually 6 months.
14) Do I have unlimited milage?
Most car rental companies we cooperate with the millage is unlimited. If not, we will inform you about that, but we always try to guarantee you the unlimited millage.
15) What to do if I am involved in car accident?
If you have any mechanical problems with your vehicle you should advise the rental company. There’s no requirement to report an accident to the police if there are no injuries or damage to property (other than your own). But all accidents involving death or bodily injury must usually be reported immediately to the local police, sheriff or highway patrol.
16) What is the age limit to sign up for a trip?
There is no limit, but usually there is a minimum age of 21 when renting a car in America. If you feel strong enough there is no obstacles. Some trips are more intensive the other less. Remember that we can change the itinerary plan of each trip exactly suit your requirement. It concerns everything: flight tickets, car, accommodation, and the route.
17) Do I need a travel insurance?
It is not obliged by the law but we strongly recommend you to buy one. The cost of medical treatment in the USA is amongst highest in the world so it is worth to have the insurance. Compared to total cost of the trip it is relativelly small amount.
18) What is comprised in a trip’s price?
In general the price includes car rental fee (but not the cost of fuel), flight tickets, and the accommodation.
